The system has transitioned from the development phase to testing in operational environments, the company <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/ratel.com.ua\/posts\/pfbid0UhavomPePh2K5MP84AMPawrkZatD5j74Qi9UfxMxVCiVeMdpg4zPHBRLXeoD44GVl\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">announced<\/a> via social media.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">During the trials, engineers evaluated ballistic stability, engagement sector control, and reload efficiency. They also assessed performance across various ranges and operational scenarios. The company emphasises that the primary focus remains on precision, reliability, and seamless integration with existing platforms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to the developer, a UGV equipped with the net launcher can detect targets at distances of up to 50 metres, with an effective engagement range of approximately 15 metres. The prototype is fitted with three launch modules, enabling multi-directional fire capabilities. The system utilises cameras and AI-driven algorithms, ensuring it only triggers upon positive target identification.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-buttons is-layout-flex wp-block-buttons-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-button\"><a class=\"wp-block-button__link has-text-align-left wp-element-button\" href=\"https:\/\/thedefender.media\/en\/2026\/05\/fire-point-reaction-nabu\/\"><strong>Fire Point controversy: <\/strong>Shtilerman responds to the \u201cMindich tapes\u201d as calls grow for the president to nationalise the company<\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Testing is currently being conducted on the Ratel H and Ratel M platforms. However, the equipment is designed for integration onto other vehicle types, including manned vehicles. Reloading a single module takes approximately one minute when using pre-prepared cartridges, or three minutes for manual loading.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ratel Robotics intends to begin deliveries to the armed forces by September 2026. New iterations of the UGVs will also feature Starlink terminals, Class 2 armour, autopilot systems, and automatic target acquisition capabilities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Earlier, BlueBird announced the development of handheld net-launching devices for ground troops.
