European company\u00a0Destinus, co-founded by former Ukrainian finance minister\u00a0Oleksandr Danyliuk, has successfully completed flight tests of its new Ruta Block 2 missile<\/a>. The company unveiled the system in early 2026. It can carry a 250 kg payload and has a range of over 700 km.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In its announcement, the company also disclosed several technical details about the new missile. Block 2 features folding wings that deploy in flight, while the booster is positioned linearly rather than laterally. This compact design allows the missile to be transported, stored, and launched from sealed containers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the company, this means faster deployment and the ability to operate from a wider range of platforms. The missile can be integrated with mobile and static ground platforms as well as maritime platforms. It has also been confirmed that Destinus manufactures the key subsystems of Ruta Block 2 in-house.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
