Deftech companies Ukrainska bavovna and Pavetra Aerospace are to produce the Shuhai\u00a0UAV and the jet-powered interceptor drone through a joint venture in the Czech Republic. The parties have already signed a memorandum <\/a>of understanding.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Legal work on the joint production has been completed, Ukrainska bavovna announced. Combat trials of both models are planned in the near term.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Shuhai strike drone<\/a> completed its first tests in November 2025. The UAV is designed to engage targets at ranges exceeding 50 km.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In partnership with Pavetra Aerospace, Ukrainska Bavovna will also develop a the jet-powered interceptor drone. This is a new joint development; previously, the Ukrainian company had already unveiled its own interceptor<\/a>, the Last Shadow T200. It is a fixed-wing drone equipped with an integrated automatic guidance module and a one-kilogram warhead. The LS-T200 has a range of up to 30 km and a maximum speed of 300 km\/h.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ukrainska bavovna was founded in 2024 and currently employs more than 100 people. No information could be found about Pavetra Aerospace’s operations or other products. The company’s LinkedIn description reads: “Ukrainian-born UAV systems built for modern European defence needs.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The company has two founders of Belarusian origin who are based in the Czech Republic, according to their social media profiles. Dzianis Valantsevich previously developed UAVs in Ukraine as a volunteer; Kyril Jakimovi\u010d volunteered in support of Ukraine from 2022 and later joined the Air Assault Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. In addition to Pavetra Aerospace, he co-founded European Defence Corporation \u2013 a Czech company manufacturing drone munitions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
