Swedish defence company Saab and the Kyiv School of Economics (KSE) have launched a strategic partnership<\/a> in unmanned systems and microelectronics. The parties will establish a programme for joint research and experimentation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

KSE will receive targeted research funding, expand its engineering capacity, and attract international researchers, according to the partnership announcement<\/a>. The collaboration is structured around three principles: applied science, R&D and infrastructure, and technology integration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“The partnering<\/a> with Saab allows us to align cutting-edge research in UAV technologies and microelectronics with the operational needs,” said Tymofii Brik, rector of the Kyiv School of Economics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Within the partnership, Saab will share its expertise in large-scale defence systems. The aim of the partnership is to accelerate innovation, strengthen the competencies of both parties, and bridge academic research with practical implementation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Saab is a Swedish defence company operating across land, sea, and air technologies. It manufactures, among other systems, the JAS 39 Gripen aircraft, which Ukraine plans to procure. The company employs 28,000 people.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
