{"id":11835,"date":"2025-09-23T11:38:15","date_gmt":"2025-09-23T08:38:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thedefender.media\/?p=11835"},"modified":"2025-09-29T09:48:56","modified_gmt":"2025-09-29T06:48:56","slug":"vyriy-drone-at-dtv","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thedefender.media\/en\/2025\/09\/vyriy-drone-at-dtv\/","title":{"rendered":"Mother drone Veresen, first UGV and the response to the Russian Molniya: what Vyriy showcased at Defence Tech Valley 2025"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Ukrainian defence company <a href=\"https:\/\/thedefender.media\/en\/tags\/vyriy-drone\/\">Vyriy Drone<\/a> unveiled several new developments at the <a href=\"https:\/\/thedefender.media\/en\/tags\/defence-tech-valley\/\">Defence Tech Valley 2025<\/a> investment summit, including the Dzhankoi UGV, the kamikaze drone Blyskavka, and the UAVs Sokil and Veresen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The <strong>ground drone \u201cDzhankoi\u201d<\/strong> became the company\u2019s first tracked project. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=oUMWUILr9Qw\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">According<\/a> to Vyriy CEO Oleksiy Babenko, the UGV was created based on an idea from a Lviv engineer, but almost all components had to be redesigned. Photo by Militarniy<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Dzhankoi is equipped with Starlink satellite communication and the ExpressLRS system, has a payload capacity of over 500 kg and a range of 30\u201350 km. Photo by Oboronka<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Another novelty was the<strong> kamikaze drone Blyskavka<\/strong>, developed based on a <a href=\"https:\/\/thedefender.media\/en\/2025\/09\/black-mirror-25\/\">captured Russian model Molniya<\/a>. Its construction, with a wooden centre wing and an open configuration, mirrors the basic design of the Russian prototype, but Ukrainian engineers have improved the assembly system, standardised the connectors, and enhanced communications.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Ukrainian version costs 35,000 hryvnias, has two electric motors on the wings, is launched from a pneumatic catapult, and can remain airborne for up to 60 minutes. Its maximum flight range with a repeater reaches 80 km, and the maximum altitude is 2,000 m. According to Babenko, the drone is intended as a mass-produced, low-cost alternative to more expensive UAVs that are lost to electronic warfare and interceptors. \u201cSokil\u201d will cost between $3,000 and $5,000 depending on configuration. Its specifications include a flight duration of up to 2.5 hours, 10\u00d7 optical zoom with threefold digital magnification, a range of up to 130 km, and a cruising speed of 75 km\/h. Photo by Militarniy<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The twin-engine aircraft can transport two copters with a payload of up to 1.5 kg each, sufficient for mounting fragmentation warheads or cumulative PG-7V grenades.
