The company told Defender Media that the system can detect UAV signals at distances of up to 30 km, automatically scan the radio spectrum and transmit data for subsequent jamming of enemy drones.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">DroneSensor Providence operates across the 600\u20138,500 MHz frequency range. The signals it can identify include analogue video, including inverted video, Walksnail digital video and Shahed mesh networks. The system can also detect FPV drones and other types of UAV.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">One of its functions is the real-time interception of analogue video signals from FPV drones. The system streams video to a local web interface, as well as to the Vezha and DELTA systems. If several targets are airborne at once, Providence can group the detected signals. It also supports friend-or-foe identification of drones based on their craft names.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Deployment scenarios<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The system is designed for several operational scenarios, ranging from the protection of rear-area facilities to deployment near the frontline.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In a fixed configuration, Providence can monitor the radio spectrum around critical infrastructure sites, warehouses and substations, detecting enemy long-range UAVs and fixed-wing reconnaissance drones. In frontline areas, the system can determine the approach vectors of FPV drones, receive video from their cameras and detect enemy ground control stations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For mobile deployment, the system can be installed on cars, armoured vehicles and trains. In this configuration, it detects signals using an omnidirectional antenna. The manufacturer also lists the protection of civilian facilities among the system&#8217;s potential applications.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Integration with the Damba EW system<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">DroneSensor Providence has been developed as part of December1&#8217;s counter-drone technology ecosystem. The company plans to integrate it with its <a href=\"https:\/\/thedefender.media\/en\/2026\/08\/damba-ew\/\">Damba EW system<\/a>. This will create an integrated drone detection and jamming solution based on a &#8220;detection-to-jamming&#8221; model.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to the manufacturer, this integration will eliminate compatibility issues between equipment and protocols from different suppliers. Providence also incorporates several features of the Damba system: a 360-degree rotating platform, remote control and a web portal for software updates. The portal will allow the system&#8217;s library of analogue and digital drone signatures to be updated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The system also provides targeting data for the Damba, which the company describes as Ukraine&#8217;s most widely deployed tactical-level electronic warfare system.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Besides Damba and DroneSensor Providence, December1\u2019s product range includes the <a href=\"https:\/\/thedefender.media\/en\/2026\/09\/december1-d1\/\">VideoScanner D1<\/a> drone detector and other developments.
