The development is at TRL-6: the company has a prototype and is working to improve the airframe. An IRV representative told Defender about this during the IRON HALLOWEEN PARTY 2026 exhibition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The planned speed is 750 km\/h, with a range of up to 45 km. The company aims to sell the drone for less than $10,000. IRV plans to complete airframe testing in 2\u20133 months and to begin serial production three months after that.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In parallel, the startup plans to seek investment for this project. Previously, IRV received a grant from Brave1 and the Lviv City Council.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-buttons is-layout-flex wp-block-buttons-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-button\"><a class=\"wp-block-button__link has-text-align-left wp-element-button\" href=\"https:\/\/thedefender.media\/en\/2026\/10\/air-forces-show-geran-5-bars-interception\/\"><strong>Read more<\/strong>: Ukrainian air defenders release first video of Geran-5 interception by Bars jet drone<\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">An IRV representative says the company consulted specialists from Riga Technical University while developing the aerodynamic airframe. It is currently being refined while the company waits for a Taiwanese-made jet engine. Its cost is estimated at approximately $4,400.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">IRV says that 80% of all its drones consist of Ukrainian-made parts. The company&#8217;s portfolio includes strike FPV drones, bombers, fixed-wing drones, and the Karakurt ground robot.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This UGV was unveiled last year. <a href=\"https:\/\/thedefender.media\/en\/2025\/08\/ground-robot-karakurt-to-deliver-fpv\/\">Karakurt<\/a> is capable of transporting and remotely launching up to six FPV drones.
