{"id":105147,"date":"2026-10-14T11:58:35","date_gmt":"2026-10-14T08:58:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thedefender.media\/?p=105147"},"modified":"2026-10-14T12:25:27","modified_gmt":"2026-10-14T09:25:27","slug":"defence-industry-subsidized-loans","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thedefender.media\/en\/2026\/10\/defence-industry-subsidized-loans\/","title":{"rendered":"Ukrainian defence companies secure over UAH 12.5 billion in concessional loans"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ukrainian defence enterprises have signed 211 concessional lending agreements totalling UAH 12.51 billion, the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine <a href=\"https:\/\/mod.gov.ua\/news\/minoborony-zabezpechylo-pidpryiemstvam-opk-dostup-do-pilhovykh-kredytiv-na-ponad-12-5-mlrd-hrn\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\">reported<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The programme has operated since November 2024 and is intended to help manufacturers finance capacity expansion and ongoing needs to fulfil defence orders.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Lending terms<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Under the programme, a defence-industrial enterprise <a href=\"https:\/\/thedefender.media\/en\/2026\/09\/defense-industry-loans-raised-to-500m\/\">can borrow<\/a> up to UAH 500 million:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>for investment projects \u2014 for a term of up to five years;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>for working capital \u2014 for a term of up to three years.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to the <a href=\"https:\/\/thedefender.media\/en\/tags\/mod\/\">Ministry of Defence<\/a>, the enterprise pays 5% annual interest, while the state covers the remainder of the financing cost.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The loan funds may be used to develop, manufacture, repair, modernise, and dispose of weapons, military and special equipment, ammunition, and their components.
