Sting interceptor drones destroyed more than 15,500 Russian UAVs \u2013 including Shahed, Geran, and Gerbera types \u2013 between October 2025 and September 2026, Wild Hornets<\/a> told Defender Media.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the manufacturer, Sting intercepted roughly 1,600 Russian targets in September alone, topping the rankings of interceptors deployed against jet-powered Shahed drones that month. Pilots from three of the four combat units with the most Shahed kills operate the Sting remotely using the Hornet Vision Ctrl system<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ukrainian forces also deploy the Sting to intercept other strike and reconnaissance drones, though the statistics do not catalogue these separately. Based on military intelligence data and manufacturer estimates, Russian losses from the destruction of Shahed-type strike drones alone totalled $700 million.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The company also reported that its new high-speed Sting S interceptor<\/a> is currently undergoing combat trials and has already been used to down small Geran-5 missiles. Mass production of the Sting S is scheduled to begin later.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In early October, Wild Hornets announced plans to establish its own counter-drone air defence network<\/a>. The network will include remote command centres, a system for remotely launching drones using Hornet Vision Ctrl technology, and forward operating locations.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
