The target was hit by unmanned systems operators from the National Guard of Ukraine\u2019s Lasar\u2019s Group.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">During the combat mission, the crew also used <a href=\"https:\/\/thedefender.media\/en\/tags\/skyfall\/\">SkyFall<\/a>\u2019s remote-control system, which lets operators control the interceptor from anywhere in the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-video\"><video height=\"1080\" style=\"aspect-ratio: 1920 \/ 1080;\" width=\"1920\" controls src=\"https:\/\/thedefender.media\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/p1-sun_jetkiller.mp4\"><\/video><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In July, Defender Media published a <a href=\"https:\/\/thedefender.media\/en\/2026\/07\/p1sun-jetkiller\/\">detailed article on the P1-SUN JetKiller<\/a>. The interceptor was unveiled at the Farnborough International Airshow in the UK. At the time, the manufacturer said the drone could reach an altitude of 9,000 metres and a speed of 370 km\/h.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">MilfTech and more: Fire Point CEO Iryna Terekh gives interview to Andrii Fedoriv<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Fire Point CEO and CTO <a href=\"https:\/\/thedefender.media\/en\/tags\/iryna-terekh\/\" data-type=\"post_tag\" data-id=\"1740\">Iryna Terekh<\/a> appeared on a podcast hosted by Andrii Fedoriv, founder of the FEDORIV marketing agency. The interview became one of the week\u2019s most discussed topics. However, social media attention focused less on production details and the timeline for the company\u2019s long-range ballistic systems than on Terekh\u2019s jokes about MilfTech and news that she had registered the corresponding trademark. The blogosphere reacted in different ways.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">At the same time, Terekh shared plenty of interesting details directly related to defence technology.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"\u042f\u043a \u0443\u043a\u0440\u0430\u0457\u043d\u0441\u044c\u043a\u0430 \u043a\u043e\u043c\u043f\u0430\u043d\u0456\u044f Fire Point \u0432\u043f\u043b\u0438\u0432\u0430\u0454 \u043d\u0430 \u0441\u0432\u0456\u0442\u043e\u0432\u0443 \u0433\u0435\u043e\u043f\u043e\u043b\u0456\u0442\u0438\u043a\u0443 | \u0406\u0440\u0438\u043d\u0430 \u0422\u0435\u0440\u0435\u0445 \u0443 #FEDORIVVLOG\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/u966ZrdUwvo?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">She said <a href=\"https:\/\/thedefender.media\/en\/tags\/fire-point\/\" data-type=\"post_tag\" data-id=\"881\">Fire Point<\/a> sources some of the engines for its Flamingo missiles from aircraft graveyards. These are used commercial aviation engines that still have some service life left. The engines often need refurbishment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Fire Point is now developing its own turbojet engine for the <a href=\"https:\/\/thedefender.media\/en\/tags\/flamingo\/\" data-type=\"post_tag\" data-id=\"1640\">Flamingo<\/a> and testing the first examples. According to the CEO, the company will soon switch entirely to in-house engines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">She also said that Fire Point currently employs more than 7,500 people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The company plans to complete development of its long-range FP-9 <a href=\"https:\/\/thedefender.media\/en\/tags\/ballistic-missiles\/\" data-type=\"post_tag\" data-id=\"680\">ballistic missile<\/a> by the end of autumn 2026. The \u201cshort-range\u201d FP-7, with a range of 300 km, is already ready and is currently undergoing <a href=\"https:\/\/thedefender.media\/en\/2026\/09\/fire-point-fp-7-combat\/\">certification and codification<\/a>. The company has spent approximately $200 million on its development and preparations for initial production. The figures for the FP-9 are even higher.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>First Medical Battalion reveals Maul UGV evacuation statistics: more than 50% of missions successful<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The First Separate Medical Battalion <a href=\"https:\/\/telegra.ph\/V%D1%96d-CASEVAC-do-UGEVAC-Dosv%D1%96d-evakuac%D1%96i-na-NRK-09-26\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">published a detailed report<\/a> on the use of the Maul evacuation UGV on the frontline. According to the unit, the ground system was first used in combat conditions in January 2025, with the first successful evacuation of a wounded soldier carried out in October 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/thedefender.media\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/mau1l-3.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">UGV MAUL. Image: <\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The First Separate Medical Battalion says that, as of the end of September 2026, the unit had conducted hundreds of missions using Maul <a href=\"https:\/\/thedefender.media\/en\/tags\/ugv\/\" data-type=\"post_tag\" data-id=\"1612\">UGVs<\/a>. Of these, 51.9% were successful. A mission is considered successful when the wounded soldier is handed over for the next stages of evacuation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cOn average, one Maul evacuates 1.92 wounded soldiers over its service life. An unsuccessful mission does not necessarily mean that the wounded soldier on board was killed. In half of all unsuccessful missions, the vehicle returned without a wounded soldier; in the remaining cases, it was lost before loading. Unfortunately, in 4.6% of all missions, the UGV was destroyed with a wounded soldier on board,\u201d the unit said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-buttons is-layout-flex wp-block-buttons-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-button\"><a class=\"wp-block-button__link wp-element-button\" href=\"https:\/\/thedefender.media\/en\/2026\/08\/empery-digital-maul\/\"><strong>Read also<\/strong>: American Empery Digital and AIDronesUA signed memorandum on investment and MAUL UGV production<\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>ARX Robotics and DEUTZ produce first joint batch of GEREON UGVs for Ukraine\u2019s Defence Forces<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">German companies <a href=\"https:\/\/thedefender.media\/en\/tags\/arx-robotics\/\" data-type=\"post_tag\" data-id=\"446\">ARX Robotics<\/a> and DEUTZ have produced the first batch of GEREON ground robots at DEUTZ\u2019s plant in Ulm, Germany. It took 12 weeks from the launch of joint production to completing the first batch. The number of UGVs in the batch has not been disclosed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1133\" height=\"850\" src=\"https:\/\/thedefender.media\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/wxr65npy0yrgz3txnhpn.webp\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-103650\" srcset=\"https:\/\/thedefender.media\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/wxr65npy0yrgz3txnhpn.webp 1133w, https:\/\/thedefender.media\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/wxr65npy0yrgz3txnhpn-300x225.webp 300w, https:\/\/thedefender.media\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/wxr65npy0yrgz3txnhpn-1024x768.webp 1024w, https:\/\/thedefender.media\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/wxr65npy0yrgz3txnhpn-768x576.webp 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1133px) 100vw, 1133px\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">GEREON<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The batch is part of <a href=\"https:\/\/thedefender.media\/en\/2025\/11\/arx-robotics-to-deliver-gereon\/\">a larger order<\/a> for several hundred <a href=\"https:\/\/thedefender.media\/en\/tags\/gereon\/\" data-type=\"post_tag\" data-id=\"1842\">GEREON<\/a> systems, which is expected to increase the Ukrainian fleet fivefold. The platforms are already being used for logistics, resupply and evacuation. GEREON can carry up to 500 kg and travel up to 40 km on a single charge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Estonia accuses Russian intelligence services of arson attack on Milrem Robotics, which supplies THeMIS UGVs to Ukraine<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Estonian authorities <a href=\"https:\/\/valitsus.ee\/en\/news\/russia-responsible-arson-attack-milrem\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">officially stated<\/a> that the arson attack on a <a href=\"https:\/\/thedefender.media\/en\/tags\/milrem-robotics\/\" data-type=\"post_tag\" data-id=\"1432\">Milrem Robotics<\/a> building in Tallinn was a pre-planned act of sabotage commissioned by Russian intelligence services. The country\u2019s Internal Security Service reached this conclusion after investigating the fire, which broke out on the night of 15 August.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Three Latvian citizens were detained on suspicion of carrying out the arson. Estonia took them into custody. According to company CEO Kuldar V\u00e4\u00e4rsi, the attack did not affect production, supply chains or the schedule for delivering robotic systems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-buttons
