Frontline, a Ukrainian startup developing drones and robotic turrets, raised $100K from Startup Wise Guys
The investments will be used to scale up drone production and attract foreign partners

AIN.UA reports that the Estonian fund and startup accelerator Startup Wise Guys has invested $100K in the Ukrainian project Frontline.
Frontline was founded in the summer of 2023 by Yevhen Tretiak and three of his colleagues, with whom he worked in the domestic defense robotics sector. The same year, the startup received $125K in investment from the D3 fund.
Frontline already has several working products: a small reconnaissance drone called Zoom, a quadcopter bomber called Linza, and a robotic turret called Storm for the Mk-19 grenade launcher. According to Tretiak, Frontline’s CEO, the developments have already been tested by the Ukrainian military and received their first sales.
In September 2024, the startup presented a combined combat system consisting of the Burya grenade launcher from Frontline and the TerMIT ground-based platform from Tencore. Using a remote control or laptop, the operator can remotely control the system from a distance of up to 100 meters and conduct targeted fire at a distance of up to 1800 meters. To make shots, it is enough to specify a point on the map or enter coordinates.
According to Tretyak, the Frontline team currently employs about 20 people. In September, the project’s CEO noted that the company’s immediate plans are to hone the “point hold” function of copters, which will allow controlling ground robots and turrets with a drone and create a synergy between all Frontline products.
Tretiak also noted that the investment from Startup Wise Guys will enable the company to scale up production, accelerate R&D, and attract international partners.
Startup Wise Guys is an Estonian venture capital fund and one of the most famous startup accelerators in Europe. The fund’s portfolio includes several projects in robotics and aerospace.
“We are excited to be a part of Frontline’s growth. Their products bring tremendous value as they reduce costs and increase the effectiveness of existing military solutions”, concludes Sergio Boracino, VP of Cybersecurity and Founders Club Director at Startup Wise Guys.
