The Defence Tech Valley will take place on 3-4 October in Kyiv and will bring together hundreds of Ukrainian and foreign investors, developers, military, government officials and industry experts.

Participants from more than 50 countries have already registered for Defence Tech Valley. Among them are over 100 Ukrainian manufacturers and more than 80 Ukrainian and foreign investors.

“Defence Tech Valley is a unique opportunity for investors to see for themselves how promising the Ukrainian defence tech industry is. We are convinced that it is capable of becoming the flagship of the Ukrainian economy in the coming years and becoming one of the global defence tech hubs”, Natalya Kushnerska, Head of Brave1 Cluster says.

She also added that by investing in domestic defence innovations today, businesses will be in the “technological and investment vanguard” and Ukraine will be able to “strengthen its own defence capabilities through capable defence businesses”.

As part of the event, Ukrainian manufacturers will be able to present their projects and potentially attract funding from Ukrainian and foreign investors.

At the same time, investors will receive a clear roadmap on how to invest in Ukrainian defence tech.

Defense Tech Valley will also feature panel discussions with key stakeholders from the Ukrainian and international defence tech industry, focusing on the following topics:

  • how the state creates transparent and favourable rules of the game for attracting investment;
  • How Ukrainian defence tech companies have evolved from the stage of ideas to full-fledged manufacturers of ready-made solutions;
  • peculiarities of investing in Ukrainian companies: perspective of Ukrainian and foreign investors.

Speakers

Panel speakers will include: Ragnar Sass, angel investor and founder of the Darkstar Coalition, Evelyn Buchacki, Managing Partner of the global investment fund D3 Defence Tech Fund, and Dan Hermansen, former member of the Royal Danish Air Force and CEO of the Danish company MyDefence.
