Ukrainian EW company Unwave appoints Taras Bublyk as new CEO
He has been with Unwave since 2025 heading the company’s international cooperation and foreign economic relations division

Ukrainian defence tech company Unwave, which develops electronic warfare and counter-drone systems, has announced the appointment of a new CEO. Effective June 20, the position will be assumed by Taras Bublyk. He has been with Unwave since 2025 and most recently headed the company’s international cooperation and foreign economic relations division.
In his new role, Bublyk will be responsible for further scaling the business, expanding international cooperation, and growing the company’s partner network.
Unwave founder and co-owner Yurii Shelmuk, who served as CEO before Bublyk, will focus on the company’s strategic development, product vision, and deeper cooperation with the government and Ukraine’s Defence Forces.
Commenting on his appointment, Bublyk said the company sees Unwave’s future in building comprehensive counter-drone ecosystems — from protecting frontline military units to safeguarding critical infrastructure, businesses, and civilian facilities. He added that expanding international cooperation remains a key priority.
Founded in 2023, Unwave employs more than 350 specialists. In 2025, the company delivered over 45,000 units of equipment to support Ukraine’s defence needs.
