Developers of the Ukrainian ComBat Vision battlefield reconnaissance and coordination system have unveiled a new plugin for their ComBat 4 software. It visually shows the user the process of firing and aiming artillery and helps them learn to adjust fire, according to the post.

The plugin can display the munition’s flight trajectory and dispersion area on the map, simulate the shell’s flight according to its characteristics with an added training error, display bursts and calculate the average correction across a series of hits.

In addition, the software will warn the user about possible obstacles along the calculated trajectory. The new plugin uses the ballistics of the MyGun app – an application by Yaroslav Sherstiuk that automates ballistic and fire calculations for artillery.

The developers add that in a week they will open access to a plugin store. There it will be possible to download the new functionality as well as other plugins – for example, repeater coverage calculations, remote control of minefields, and more.

The ComBat Vision platform is designed for mutual coordination of troops and the exchange of information about objects.

The software integrates with various optical sensors, such as UAVs or UGVs, and security cameras, which make it possible to determine the coordinates of objects in space.
