Ganna Gvozdiar has been appointed Deputy Minister of Defence and will be responsible for the defence industry

Ganna Gvozdiar has been appointed Deputy Minister of Defence of Ukraine. She will be responsible for the defence-industrial complex, the Ministry of Defence announced.

Her key priority will be ensuring the front receives Ukrainian-made weapons on time and in the required quantities.

Gvozdiar will also focus on exporting Ukrainian defence products produced in excess of frontline requirements. The Ministry of Defence views exports as a way to build partnerships with allies and attract additional funding for Ukraine’s defence.

Ganna Gvozdiar previously served as Deputy Minister of Defence from July 2025 to January 2026, after which she worked as an adviser to the Minister. Before that, from September 2023 to July 2025, she served as Deputy Minister for Strategic Industries. Her government projects included Zbroya, a unified online platform for weapons manufacturers.

Before entering public service, Ganna worked at the Serhiy Prytula Charity Foundation, serving as Deputy Director in 2021–2022 and heading the foundation in 2022–2023.
