Ukrainian company The Swarm has developed the Zhraya 10 FPV drone, resistant to electronic warfare. What else is it working on
By the end of the year, The Swarm aims to produce five thousand drones and around 100 UAS per month

Ukrainian company The Swarm began by developing modules for FPV drones and has now created its own unmanned aerial system, Zhraya. Its defining feature, which the developers emphasise, is resistance to enemy electronic warfare. This was achieved through a module supporting proprietary FHSS (frequency-hopping spread spectrum) algorithms and three control channels, between which it switches when jamming is detected.
The UAS comprises the Zhraya 10 FPV drone, the Shpakivnya remote station, the Ekho repeater, and the Vataha control case with a bunker operator. Defender Media spoke with the company’s CEO, Hryhorii Tymchenko, about the features of the company’s product and its development plans.
What The Swarm is working on
The company was registered in 2025, but its first developments appeared in 2024. Initially, the team manufactured an EW-resistance module that was installed on UAVs produced by other manufacturers. It supports three control channels, so if one of them stops working, the drone automatically switches to another.
In 2024, The Swarm developed the Shpakivnya – a remote control station supporting three separate control channels with synchronous automatic switching. It also features improved FHSS algorithms and a communication range of over 50 km.
In 2025, the team produced the repeater and the Vataha case, which allows the entire complex to be controlled from a single point. At the military’s request, The Swarm also developed a control handover function from the remote station to the repeater. “The drone begins its flight using the connection with the mast, and after the toggle switch is pressed, it switches to the repeater already airborne. This way, the drone achieves a better radio horizon,” Tymchenko explains.
The company’s own FPV drone was developed at the end of 2025. It is a 10-inch UAV equipped with the same EW-resistance module the team had initially offered to other manufacturers.
Its maximum range is 30 km, maximum altitude 3 km, and speed 130 km/h. The drone can carry a 3 kg payload and can be fitted with a thermal imaging camera as needed.

The company’s development plans
The products have now completed combat trials and are being codified. The price of the full complex, excluding FPV drones, is UAH 160,000. The drone itself costs from UAH 19,900.
21 people are involved in the work. In addition to the CEO, there is a co-founder serving as both CTO and chief engineer. The team also includes engineers, assemblers, technologists, RF engineers, and developers. Their near-term goal is to scale operations and complete codification of the full complex. By the end of the year, The Swarm aims to produce five thousand drones and around 100 UAS per month.
To date, The Swarm has not raised any investment or grants, operating solely on founder capital and sales revenue. The CEO adds that the project is only beginning to generate stable returns for reinvestment.
