Fire Point has developed two new variants of its flagship FP-1 drone designed to engage aerial targets, CEO and CTO Iryna Terekh shared in an interview for Defender Media.

“We have a combined project where we use the FP-1 platform as a carrier for interceptor drones,” she said. “There are also FP-1 versions equipped with machine guns and anti-aircraft weapons — they also perform interceptor roles against enemy UAVs.”

The baseline FP-1 is a deep-strike platform which, according to the General Staff, accounts for more than half of all successful long-range drone strikes on enemy targets.

Terekh also said that the second test launch of the FP-7 ballistic missile took place on 14 March. The launch was successful, and the company is currently collecting data and analysing telemetry.

She confirmed that the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine had rejected the company’s application to sell a 30% stake to UAE investors. However, Fire Point has already resubmitted the application with an expanded set of documents.

Fire Point plans to launch the first phase of its rocket engine manufacturing plant in Denmark by the end of the year. The company is also developing several international projects, primarily to monetise its expertise. According to Terekh, governments in Europe and the Middle East are interested in adopting Fire Point’s experience in building defence ecosystems.
