Fighters of the 1st Separate Assault Regiment named after Dmytro Kotsiubailo helped free two captured service members using bomb drops from a heavy Vampire bomber drone. This was reported in a video published on the unit’s Telegram channel.

During a combat operation near Huliaipole, the situation suddenly became more complicated, the regiment said. Enemy infantry managed to approach Ukrainian positions at close range and capture two soldiers.

Russian troops attempted to withdraw with the captives, but the group’s movement was tracked from the regiment’s command post. The command decided to deploy bomb drops from a Vampire bomber. Both Russian soldiers were eliminated by precise strikes, while the Ukrainian service members remained unharmed.

The video shows the course of the operation with commentary from the commanders.
