Ukraine’s Ministry of Defence has codified 22 Cyqlone electronic warfare systems and authorised their use by the Defence Forces of Ukraine. Defender Media learned this from the manufacturer.

The key element of the system is the Cyqlone antenna, developed and produced by NTC Cyqlone in cooperation with specialists from KPI and the Pivdenne Design Bureau. It provides dome coverage and operates simultaneously in two polarisations — vertical and horizontal. This makes it possible to maintain jamming effectiveness regardless of the orientation of a drone’s antenna and ensures full circle coverage without dead zones.

Each antenna undergoes individual tuning for a specific jamming module. This ensures a standing wave ratio close to 1, allowing maximum power to be transmitted into the air. The antenna design features a sealed enclosure with passive cooling, without the use of fans. Such a system protects the equipment from rain, snow, dust and vibrations.

Production of the Cyqlone EW systems is highly localised in Ukraine, reflecting wartime requirements. Ukrainian manufacturers produce the housings, radiators, mechanical protection elements and antenna covers, while all internal cabling and wiring is also domestically sourced.

The price of one module in the basic configuration is UAH 39,000. The company does not disclose production volumes.

LLC “Scientific and Technical Complex Cyqlone” has been operating on the market for more than ten years, but systematic development and production of defence technologies began with the start of the full-scale war.
