New Ukrainian ‘mother drone’ Gara Neith can carry three FPVs more than 50 kilometres
The UAV has a controlled range of up to 75 km and can remain in the air for over two hours

Ukraine has introduced a new mothership drone, Gara Neith, designed to deliver up to three FPV drones to ranges exceeding 50 kilometres. According to information obtained by Defender Media, the UAS is already available for procurement via the state-run Brave1 marketplace, marking another step in the expansion of domestically developed long-range drone capabilities.
Gara Neith is a modification of the base Gara model and is able to transport and launch two to three FPV drones, act as a relay platform, conduct aerial reconnaissance and guide other weapons onto ground targets.
According to the published characteristics, Gara Neith is an electric vertical take-off and landing platform. The drone’s cruising speed is 80 km/h, with a maximum of up to 180 km/h, and its flight endurance reaches 150 minutes. The declared tactical radius of use is 55 km, the maximum flight range is up to 180 km, and the controlled radius is up to 75 km.
The drone is equipped with a day camera and a thermal imaging camera and can carry a payload of more than 16 kg. The aircraft can detect a standing human figure at up to 2 kilometres and provides terminal guidance for FPV drones that can carry various types of munitions.
Another drone from the same manufacturer, Gara Esse, was mentioned in international media in December 2025 as a reconnaissance unmanned aircraft operated by military personnel of the 427th Separate Unmanned Systems Brigade “Rarog”. The technical characteristics of Esse have not been disclosed.
