Ukrainian fibre‑optic drones of the CHUMA line, developed by Covenantum, are capable of carrying a payload weighing up to 4 kg over a distance of 20–25 kilometres. This was confirmed to Defender Media by a representative of the manufacturer.

The CHUMA line is available with two fibre‑optic spool options, rated for 20 km and 25 km, and can be configured with either a daytime camera or a thermal imaging module.

The drone’s maximum flight range is 25 km, with an endurance of up to 25 minutes. Its operating altitude is around 50 metres, and its cruising speed is 60 km/h. The UAV is capable of detecting and identifying targets at distances of at least 150 metres for personnel and up to 500 metres for vehicles.

According to the company, CHUMA uses fibre‑optic spools of its own production and has already entered serial manufacturing.

The drones are available for pre‑order via the state Brave1 marketplace and can also be purchased using e‑points under the Army of Drones Bonus programme.
