The Ministry of Defence has codified General Cherry OPTIX fibre-optic FPV drones with 15–35 km coils
Drones of this type are already in use with more than 20 combat units, where they demonstrate an 82% successful strike rate

Ukrainian defence tech company General Cherry has announced the completion of codification of its own line of fibre-optic FPV drones, General Cherry OPTIX.
According to the manufacturer, drones of this type are already in use with more than 20 combat units, where they demonstrate an 82% successful strike rate in combat conditions.
General Cherry OPTIX is available on three base FPV platforms with 10-, 13- and 15-inch frames. The systems are equipped with fibre-optic coils with ranges of 15, 20, 25, 30, and 35 kilometres, resulting in more than 20 different drone-and-spool configuration options, depending on the combat tasks.
The company also notes that a key design feature of the solution is special treatment of the fibre-optic cable: every millimetre is coated with a special fluid that prevents the spool from unwinding uncontrollably.
Orders for the codified Cheneral Cherry OPTIX fibre-optic FPV drones are already available via the Brave1 Market platform and, according to the manufacturer, will soon appear in the DOT-Chain Defence system as well.
