The Defence Builder accelerator has extended the application deadline for its third acceleration programme, which will begin on 1 December 2025. Applications are open until 3 November and can be submitted via the project’s website.

The four-month programme is aimed at supporting Ukrainian defence technology startups that have combat-proven prototypes or teams experienced in developing frontline solutions. In exchange for participation, Defence Builder receives 5% equity in each selected startup.

Priority areas include interceptors, UAVs, ground robotic systems, software, electronic warfare systems, and communication technologies.

According to Defence Builder CEO Line Rindvig, the third cohort is focused on creating a network of verified companies capable of attracting international capital and developing partnerships with NATO countries.

Programme participants will receive a starting grant of $10,000, while the top three startups will compete for an additional $30,000. The programme also provides support in fundraising, mentorship, business, legal and financial consulting, as well as assistance with pitch preparation and company structuring.

Startups will undergo testing at training grounds and on the frontline, receiving feedback from military personnel.

It is also worth noting that in early September, Defence Builder announced strategic leadership changes: Kateryna Bezsudna stepped down as CEO while remaining a co-founder of the project. The new CEO of the accelerator is Line Rindvig from Denmark.
