The government has launched a Test in Ukraine platform based on the Brave1 cluster, allowing foreign defence companies to test their technologies in Ukraine. The announcement was made by Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov at the LANDEURO conference in Germany.

The goal of the initiative is to involve international partners in the joint development of solutions that could influence the course of the war. From now on, foreign companies operating in the fields of UAVs, UGVs, USVs, EW or AI have a clear pathway for testing their technologies in Ukraine — outlined on the initiative’s official website.

The main advantages of testing in Ukraine are:

– access to expertise from end users of the technologies;
– testing on fully equipped training grounds, as close as possible to real combat conditions;
– high-quality feedback and standardised protocols for product improvement;
– the possibility of cooperation with Ukrainian manufacturers for joint production and faster integration to the front.

Technologies can be tested directly on site, with real-time adjustments. There is also an option to delegate the process to Brave1 specialists, who will conduct the testing independently and provide partners with a detailed report.

Previously, the Ministry of Defence has opened a testing ground for demining technologies and offers testing and trials to developers and manufacturers of weapons under the “Zalizny polygon” programme.
