Ukrainian robotics developer DevDroid, together with the manufacturer of the Ravlyk unmanned ground vehicle, has created a reconnaissance and strike robotic system called Droid Raw 12.7. The company announced it in a press release issued to Defender Media.

The Droid Raw 12.7 consists of the Ravlyk ground platform and the Wolly 12.7 combat module developed by DevDroid. This combination transforms a UGV originally designed for logistical tasks into a weapon ready for reconnaissance and combat missions.

The Wolly 12.7 combat module is equipped with an M2 Browning 12.7 mm machine gun, which can be fired remotely from a safe distance. The module also features a camera — narrow-angle, wide-angle, or thermal imaging — and software for target acquisition and engagement. The system has an effective range of up to 1 km.

The Ministry of Defence codified the Ravlyk UGV in December 2024. The platform stands out for its compact size, high off-road capability thanks to its specialised all-terrain tyres, and quiet operation due to its electric motor.

Since 2023, DevDroid has been developing Wolly turrets compatible with the KT-7.62 (PKT) and M2 Browning 12.7 machine guns. These combat modules are also integrated onto mobile platforms, including the company’s own reconnaissance and strike UGV — the Droid TW 7.62/12.7. According to the company, DevDroid systems are already actively used on the front line for combat and reconnaissance missions, helping to reduce risks for personnel.

DevDroid is open to partnerships with other UGV manufacturers and is ready to install its combat modules on third-party platforms. Just last week, the Ministry of Defence codified several Ukrainian UGVs, including an upgraded version of the TerMIT with improved dynamic features, as well as the logistics UGV Murakha, developed by the company Robotyzovani Complexy.
