How to talk about defence without doing harm: Def.Talks event to explore communications in defence tech

On June 4, UNIT.City will host the next Def.talks — an event from the ongoing series dedicated to defence technologies. The topic of the event: “Strategic technologies in the media spotlight: how to report on defence without causing harm.” Participation in the event is free; you can register via the link. The event will feature experts who will share their perspectives and experiences:
- Roman Sudolsky — Founding Editor at Defender Media
- Sviatoslav Posmetny — Founder & CEO at Milzo
- Denys Sviatokum — Chairman of the Board at the Ukrainian Dual-Use Technologies Cluster & Co-Founder of the Defense Media Center.
Discussion topics will include:
- Media vs. censorship: how to find the balance when covering sensitive topics
- When silence is better than a headline: should every new defenсe technology be made public?
- Shaping a strategic narrative: the role of media in presenting Ukraine as a security innovation leader
At the previous DEF.Talks event, experts discussed the opportunities and challenges of investing in Ukrainian defence tech.
