Specs revealed for three versions of Ukraine’s Magura unmanned surface vessels
Magura V5 is capable of swarm attacks, Magura V7 can shoot down aircraft, and Magura V6P is used for reconnaissance and patrol missions

Defence Intelligence of Ukraine has officially unveiled three versions of the Magura unmanned surface vessels — the V5, V6P, and V7. These drones are designed for attacking enemy ships and aircraft, as well as for reconnaissance, patrolling, vessel protection, mine countermeasures, firefighting, search and rescue operations, and cargo delivery.
The Magura V5, V6P and V7 USVs are designed for a range of tasks, including reconnaissance, patrolling, ship protection, mine and fire prevention measures, rescue operations, and cargo transport.
The main drone used in DIU operations is the Magura V5. It is the fastest in the series and supports swarm functionality, automatic target tracking, multi-channel satellite communication, thermal imaging cameras, and the option to mount a combat module with a machine gun. It can carry up to 320 kg of explosives and has an operating autonomy of 48 hours.
The latest version, the Magura V7, features an acoustic environment monitoring system and a significantly extended range — up to 1,500 km. It has a longer and wider hull: the boat measures 7.2 metres in length and 2.1 metres in width. A distinctive feature of this model is the integrated air defence system, which can include AIM-9 or R-73 missiles, or a machine gun module. It was the Magura V7 surface drone that, for the first time in history, successfully struck two Russian Su-30 fighter aircraft.
Thanks to its significantly increased payload capacity, the Magura V7 can carry up to 650 kg and may be deployed as a naval kamikaze drone. It can be equipped with guided missiles or a machine gun module. The vessel has a cruising speed of 23 knots and a top speed of at least 39 knots (72 km/h) when fully loaded. Its operational autonomy is at least two days, extendable to seven days when fitted with a generator.
The Magura V6P is a non-combat version, intended for reconnaissance, patrolling, rescue operations, and cargo transport.
