Vyriy Drone has produced the first thousand drones, 100% assembled from Ukrainian components
The video transmitters were manufactured by DEC-1, the motors by Realgold, and the thermal imaging cameras by Odd Systems

One of the largest Ukrainian manufacturers of FPV drones, Vyriy Drone, has presented the first mass-production batch of fully localised drones. EPravda, who attended the presentation, reported this.
This batch of localised drones was produced by order of the “Army of Drones”. According to a company representative interviewed by the EP, drones made from Ukrainian components in mass production have been reduced in price to the level of similar models made from Chinese components. The cost of one is about UAH 30,000.
Some of the components are manufactured by the company itself, and some are produced by Ukrainian contractors. The Vyriy Drone team managed to localise the production of frames, initiation boards, flight controllers, and radio control systems on their own. At the same time, video transmitters were manufactured by the Ukrainian company DEC-1, engines by Realgold LLC, and thermal imaging cameras by Odd Systems.
Many well-known people from the industry attended Vyriy Drone’s presentation and shared their feedback on their social media pages. Ihor Fedirko, CEO of the Ukrainian Council of Gunsmiths, said: “Ukrainian FPV is not more expensive than Chinese FPV. But there is a problem—Chinese components are exempt from VAT, while Ukrainian ones are not. This needs to be fixed.”
Serial entrepreneur Yaroslav Azhnyuk, founder of Odd Systems, wrote: “Thanks to the Kurbas-256 thermal imaging cameras, the cost of these drones is the same or even lower than that of drones using Chinese components… Kurbas-256 cameras from Odd Systems are now in mass production.” Azhnyuk also noted that Vyriy Drone founder Oleksiy Babenko was the first to assemble and scale the FPV “constructor”.
Ukrainian Forbes recently published a detailed article about the company Vyriy Drone and its founder.
