Ukrainian startup continues to raise a seed round with the $800,000 goal

Frontline, a Ukrainian developer of drones and robotic turrets, has raised $150,000 from the Angel One venture fund. The startup announced this in a press release.
The new investment is part of a syndicated seed round, during which Frontline plans to raise $800,000 to develop its own production of defense robotic systems. Two weeks ago, the project already received $100,000 from the Estonian fund and accelerator Startup Wise Guys.
Frontline CEO Yevhen Tretiak notes that the investment will help the company produce even more robots that will allow the Ukrainian military to effectively stop the enemy from defended positions.
Frontline became the seventh investment by Angel One, a fund founded by the Ukrainian Catholic University Foundation in 2022. The fund previously invested in six Ukrainian defense tech and dual-use tech startups through syndication deals.
What Frontline does
Frontline was founded in the summer of 2023 by Yevhen Tretiak and three of his colleagues, with whom he worked in the domestic defense robotics sector. The same year, the D3 fund invested $125,000 in the startup.
Frontline already has several working products: a small reconnaissance drone called Zoom, a quadcopter bomber called Linza, and a robotic turret called Storm for the Mk-19 grenade launcher. According to Tretiak, Frontline’s CEO, the developments have already been tested by the Ukrainian military and received their first sales.
In September 2024, the startup presented a joint combat system consisting of the Burya grenade launcher from Frontline and the TerMIT ground-based platform from Tencore. Using a remote control or laptop, the operator can control the system from up to 100 meters and conduct targeted fire from up to 1800 meters. It is enough to specify a point on the map or enter coordinates to make shots.
