Ukraine’s Ministry of Defence signs memorandum with Finland’s ICEYE to strengthen space intelligence
ICEYE is one of the world leaders in satellite technology

The Ministry of Defence of Ukraine has signed a memorandum of cooperation with the Finnish company ICEYE, one of the world’s leading satellite technology companies. This was reported by the Ministry.
According to the agreement, the cooperation will cover the field of remote sensing, which will be an important step in strengthening Ukraine’s defence capabilities. ICEYE specialises in the production of microsatellites and owns one of the world’s largest constellations of radar satellites.
Their technologies provide rapid access to data on the earth’s surface in near real time, regardless of the time of day or weather conditions.
Deputy Minister of Defence of Ukraine Kateryna Chernogorenko stressed that this memorandum will significantly improve intelligence capabilities.
Over the two years of using the ICEYE satellite, the purchase of which was made possible by the joint efforts of Ukrainians, specialists from the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine have received 4,173 images of enemy targets.
